Pierre Trochet

Position: President, International Federation of American Football (IFAF)

Pierre Trochet was elected President of IFAF in December 2021. Motivated by his passion for the game, he has been since 2018 Director of Development of the French Federation of American Football.

A former player at the continental level then regional manager, he entered as director of the training institute of the FFFA in 2015. Under his leadership, the French federation will be the first in Europe to deploy an online education program dedicated to the long-term development of youth football athletes.

In 2015, he carried out an international collaboration project through the Erasmus +; funding program with the European Commission.

Director of Development since 2018, Trochet manages and supervises all communication, business and event operations, and international relations of the French association. In 2018/2019, the FFFA reached a record number of members thanks to the multiplication of flag football events and a new media policy that follows the international visibility of the NFL.

It will multiply media and structural collaborations in France, notably with television networks, the spring visit of the University of Michigan in Paris, and the promotion of national talents chasing CFL or NFL opportunities.

Trochet’s ambition is to continue strengthening the governance of IFAF and stabilise a high- quality competition calendar. He wants to focus on developing continents and make flag football a global sport.
